Who we are

Originally from Southern California, Dylan’s professional beginnings started in construction inspection, where he developed an eye for detail and quality. After working as a concrete and soils inspector in the construction industry, he unexpectedly discovered his passion for woodworking while learning the craft of guitar building. Through this experience, Dylan realized his true calling; woodworking. After graduating college with a degree in Design, Dylan pursued his passion for furniture making and design. Dylan worked as a woodworker and furniture maker in a range of settings including cabinet making, apprenticing under a master wood carver, and eventually becoming the lead furniture maker at Sean Woolsey Studio. After 2 years developing his skills in this role, Dylan decided to bet on himself and create a long-standing dream; The Wood Studio. Dylan strives to create heirloom furniture built with quality craftsmanship and meticulously thought out designs. Here at The Wood Studio, we believe that furniture should be designed to last generations, not just one season.
